چکیده
Optical solitons are known to be classically stable objects which robust perturbations. In this work, we show that due quantum mechanical effects, an optical soliton is initially in a classical coherent state will shed photons into the continuum and hence decay. The standard formulation of quantized uses linearized version nonlinear Schrodinger equation background soliton, remains approximation. We if higher-order interaction terms taken account, no longer stable, its photon number decreases quadratically as function cycles. compute power spectrum for radiation find narrow band localized about initial momentum with cut-off inversely proportional width.

a simple, rapid and low-cost scanner spectroscopy method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and cdte/tga quantum dots as chromoionophore has been described. the detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of h2o2 on the cdte quantum dots (qds) photoluminescence.in this study glucose was determined by utilizing glucose...
Quantum soliton generation using an interferometer
For the first time a method for realizing macroscopic quantum optical solitons is presented. Simultaneous photon-number and momentum squeezing is predicted using soliton propagation in an interferometer. Extraction of soliton pulses closer to true quantum solitons than their coherent counterparts from mode-locked lasers is possible. Moreover, it is a general method of reducing photon-number flu...
متن کاملOn the Decay of Soliton Excitations
In field theory the scattering about spatially extended objects, such as solitons, is commonly described by small amplitude fluctuations. Since soliton configurations often break internal symmetries, excitations exist that arise from quantizing the modes that are introduced to restore these symmetries. These modes represent collective distortions and cannot be treated as small amplitude fluctua...
متن کاملRotating optical soliton clusters.
We introduce the concept of soliton clusters--multisoliton bound states in a homogeneous bulk optical medium--and reveal a key physical mechanism for their stabilization associated with a staircaselike phase distribution that induces a net angular momentum and leads to cluster rotation. The ringlike soliton clusters provide a nontrivial generalization of the concepts of two-soliton spiraling, o...
متن کاملPinched optical-vortex soliton
The fast contraction, or pinching, of optical vortices in both thermal and Kerr self-defocusing media is investigated by numerical techniques. For the thermal case, heat diffusion across the vortex core is described, and the heretofore unexplained stability of optical-vortex solitons in thermal media is explained. © 2001 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: 190.4420, 190.5940, 190.3270, 160.4...
